Estari’s Dual Touch-Screen Display Notebook

February 18th, 2007

The 2-VU DC15 just can’t be mistaken as a regular notebook at first sight. The notebook’s USP is the dual touchscreen displays as can be seen in the picture. The dual displays would leaves no space for a included keyboard and touchpad for navigation. While the laptop may rise to new heights on the novelty department, the ramification of a non-keyboard/touchpad layout can be pretty disappointing on the productivity front. The 2-VU uses dual-screen technology specified in the U.S. patent awarded in 1998. Windows XP Professional comes pre-installed on the notebook for making the most of its features. Speaking of which, this notebook isn’t impressive on the hardware specifications front. It sports a modest config of Dual Core 1.83 Ghz Intel processor, 60GB hard drive, 1GB System Memory on 945GM mobile chipset alongwith the 15″ XGA touch sensitive LCD panels. You can very well attach an external keyboard and mouse with integrated USB ports on the notebook or go the wireless way. If you would like to get one of these, $4350 and that would be all.
