TiVo Adds Content Filters to Forthcoming KidZone Feature
March 30th, 2006TiVo on Tuesday an enhancement to KidZone, a feature launching later this year that will automatically record children’s programming and let parents choose which programs may be viewed by children. The feature lets parents set TiVo to automatically record the three hours of educational and informational programming that Congress mandated broadcasters must air each week. In addition, TiVo said it has added recommendations from the Parents’ Choice Foundation, a nonprofit evaluator of children’s media, to existing KidZone recommendations from Common Sense Media and the Parents Television Council.
