U.K. Indie Labels License Music to China’s SINA.com
April 30th, 2006The U.K. Association of Independent Music (AIM), a collection of independent record labels, has signed an online distribution agreement with Chinese Web portal SINA.com, the BBC Online reported. The deal — which will bring no profits to the labels — will make free streaming music and music video clips available to SINA.com visitors. AIM told the BBC it plans to vet all tracks offered for sex and drug references.
