Blinkx Logs 4 Million Hours of Video in Web Search Index
June 26th, 2006Blinkx, a searchable index of Web video, announced on Wednesday that it has now accumulated 4 million hours of video content, making its Web video search engine more comprehensive than those offered by both Google and Yahoo. San Francisco-based Blinkx said it now serves over 3.5 million video search queries each day. The company’s content providers include media firms like The New York Times, MTV, HBO and the BBC, as well as user-generated sites like Google Video, YouTube and Revver.
