An audio decoder filter is now available for download at the MediaLooks web site. The filter is based on ISO/IEC and ATSC standards and supports the following audio codecs: MPEG-1 Audio Layer 1 (MP1), MPEG-1 Audio Layer 2 (MP2), MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3 (MP3), AC-3 and AAC. MediaLooks Playout Studio was upgraded to version 1.1.0.4 and now supports streaming to Windows Media Services. We have also integrated the latest version of the Text & Graphics Overlay filter in this release.

We have released our MPEG-2 TS Splitter – a DirectShow filter for demultiplexing a transport stream, read either from file, or received via UDP.

Our DV Decoder is now out of beta. The DirectShow filter supports anything from DV to DVCPRO HD and is capable of using up to 8 CPUs for decoding.
The decoder will be part of the upcoming DV/DVCPRO HD SDK, featuring a DV Splitter, an MXF Demultiplexer and a DV Encoder.
