Pluggd on Monday introduced its HearHere search technology for Internet audio programming. Sharp is introducing a handheld device that will be able to translate spoken Japanese into English and vice-versa. It uses IBM’s speech recognition software, ViaVoice, which is usually for use on PCs. Sharp is planning to introduce the device by the end 2006, price being around 60,000 yen ($508 USD).
