Yuan integrates with Medialooks Video SDK

Medialooks today announced official support for Yuan capture cards in its Video SDK.

Established in 1990 and headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, YUAN High-Tech is a leading supplier of high-quality video/audio products to system integrators and ODM customers in the digital home entertainment, broadcasting, and surveillance markets.

YUAN provides a series of PCIe, Mini-PCIe and M.2 video capture cards, USB 2.0/3.0 capture dongles, as well as a range of video converter boxes and streaming encoder boxes to fulfill different markets’ needs. All video capture products with different form factors are supported by one driver and the same SDK which follows Windows DirectShow or Linux v4l2 standards.

“We had the opportunity to run integration tests with the SC550N1 model,” – says Alexander Bashlykov, Product Manager at Medialooks. “It is a universal capture device capable of receiving SDI, HDMI, DVI, and S-Video feeds – we’ve never seen a device supporting so many input formats.”

After the integration of SC550N1, Medialooks and YUAN will move forward to integrate other capture card models in the Pro series: SC710, SC700 & SC400.

“We are glad to work and integrate the Medialooks SDK into Yuan’s products to enrich them with more functions for our customers to use,“ – says Wendy Lin, Sales Director at YUAN.

The SC710 series are developed for 4K image capture, covering single, multi-channel and multiple interfaces. The SC710N1 HDV supports 4K image interfaces such as DP-MST, DVI-DL, HDR and can capture 4K DP-MST and DVI-DL images. SC710N4 12G-SDI & SC710N4 HDMI 2.0 can even support up to 4 channels 4K60 image capture.

The SC700 and SC400 series are single-channel and multi-channel capture cards for HD image quality. SC700N1 AIO supports multiple interfaces such as SDI, HDMI, DVI, as well as 4:4:4 subsampling, which helps achieve the highest level of quality for HD. SC400 can support four HDMI or SDI inputs, which can be used both for home entertainment and broadcasting.

Medialooks, founded in 2005, provides broadcast customers with software development kits to quickly build playout automation, virtual studio and video capture solutions. Customers include ENCO Systems, RUSHWORKS, MultiCAM Systems, Hardata, Axel Technology, Broadcast Pix, and Green Hippo.
